Mark Dimock is a full time painter and sculptor living in Eketahuna, where he has established a large studio workshop and gallery.
Mark has used and painted with many mediums: oil on canvas, newspaper, resin, acrylics, timber and steel. Some paintings have had a three dimensional aspect to them employing techniques such as weaving, timber construction, the use of mirrors, overlays and carving. Experimentation with the image and material is important in Mark’s work.
Mark often uses recycled materials in both paintings and sculpture, current works often uses steel or aluminium and timber and paint together, and explore the crossover between the different mediums.
