Lynette Holschier

Lynette always wanted to be an artist when she was growing up. Then along life’s journey she discovered that … she already was an ‘artist’.

Lynette lost her father a couple of years ago, and her mother was diagnosed with dementia, so went into a special care unit. Despite usually enjoying arts and crafts Lynette couldn’t pick up another brush that year. She instead discovered something much more magical, coloured pencils.

Lynette instantly fell in love with this medium, the humble pencil that is now no longer humble. She finds these magic little sticks of pure pigment encased in wood, bound in a binder of oil or wax a sheer delight to use.
