Angela lives and works in the Bay of Plenty on the East Coast of New Zealand’s North Island, having moved there from her native country of South Africa in 2007.
She takes to the canvas with her brush loaded with her chosen medium, acrylic, as well as her current emotions and goes on to paint marks of pure intention. These marks come through as either florals, landscapes or portraits.
Angela describes herself as being driven by ‘a compulsive need to paint’. She experiments with acrylic, taking a playful journey and creating masterful plains of colour, almost like building a puzzle.
She exhibits extensively within New Zealand and overseas. Her work is held in private collections worldwide.
