Andrea Robinson is a Wellington artist whose creations celebrate nature. Her artwork explores the relationship between nature and the human world connecting viewers through beautifully composed, imaginative, playful paintings.
Describing her work, Andrea says she uses colour, imagery, and composition to create narratives around nature. Many of her artworks are created from her imagination straight onto the canvas, which allows her to play with her ideas and be serendipitous.
Creating artwork is as important to Andrea as the air that she breathes. It is the language she uses to tell her story, to connect viewers with nature, and to explore the relationship between nature and the human world.
She studied under Jia Lu, a well-known international artist based in the USA, and was classically trained by Enyi Lu, a famous Chinese painter known for his historical military paintings.
