Sue Malthus

For the last 20 years Sue has experimented with watercolours, acrylics, resin and more. She mixes a variety of techniques and mediums to complete one piece.

Sue’s passion is printmaking; she loves to play with different printing processes and styles. She doesn’t like to replicate her subject exactly but prefers to add her own interpretation.

Sue is working on a variety of themes at present. In many of her works a fascination with the connection between journeys, travel and works shines through. There are also many reoccurring references to New Zealand.

Sue has completed a Diploma of Art and Creativity (Hons) at The Learning Connexion. She has exhibited in many shows and has works exhibiting in both New Zealand and abroad. Sue also works part-time at Te Papa, Wellington.
