Jillian Muir has been exhibiting her paintings at her daughters’ café, St Germain, in Napier.
Jillian has a Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts from Otago University and a Diploma of Teaching. She tends to paint all genres, but Jillian’s love for plants and flowers appears strongly in her artworks, all done in oils.
The small flower paintings are loosely realistic and minimal in composition, relying on the loose brushstroke to provoke interest and boldness.
She prefers to work on larger canvases in all genres, but always in oil.
